POPULart

Community Psychology trough Art - Erasmus Plus 

POPULART project, based on the "Popular University" concept, will design interactive and multimedia courses on Community Psychology through Arts and will develop methodologies that will be engaging the adult learners encouraging holistic learning processes. The training material will be flexible in the Arts part, giving the freedom (and the tools) to the trainer to select the Artwork that will use. 

This way, Populart will extend educators competences and at the same time offer high quality multimedia and interactive learning opportunities adequate for all citizens with emphasis on low skills and low qualified adults.


Using art as the trigger, ICT tools and new methods of teaching/coaching, POPULART will combine disciplines which have been isolated from one another under traditional educational models. The project will contribute towards policies that seek to boost social inclusion and active citizenship promoting human development by self-motivation for learning and therefore enhancing individual skills development and the ability of each trainee to take responsibility for his own life. POPULART will also strengthen the development of civil society and the society as a whole, as well as the development of democratic values. Last but not least, POPULART will serve as a mean to promote the wellbeing, crisis management, multiculturalism, internationalization and global justice.

Populart Courses in Limassol

Populart Courses in Limassol More

Populart's courses were conducted in a classroom provided by the Cyprus University of Technology. The students were generally young (mainly students of the Cyprus University of Technology) and were mostly residents of Limassol (but also with some participants from Paphos and Nicosia). It should be noted here that there was a great deal of interest in continuing courses, or in conducting a new series of seminars in the summer of 2020.
